So I recently sat down with entrepreneur and avid podcaster Erik Allen (@erikgallen) to talk about the lessons he learned throughout his personal journey as both a father and a son. During his younger days, Erik faced a lot of demons and struggled out of his addictions. He was jailed at the age of 18 and went bankrupt when he turned 21, and felt as if his life wasn't going anywhere if he stayed in that cycle. After waking up and seeing his friends still passed out from the party the night before, he realized that it was time for a change.

As the Coronavirus (Covid-19) changed the way we go about our lives nowadays - I want to bring this message of hope - and engage you in some positive thinking.

Russell Brunson also calls this The Epiphany Bridge Script. So what I would like you to think about in this episode is “What is YOUR epiphany bridge script? What is your story? It's a new chapter for The Commit First Podcast, and to pop off the 101st episode, I invited entrepreneur, business coach, author and father Chris Ducker to talk about his journey as an aspiring dad-entrepreneur. He'll also talk about his various struggles earlier in the decade, and all of the important key values he picked up along the way. From starting his VA company based in the Philippines in 2004, to overcoming an extreme burnout that left him dehydrated, depressed, and malnourished to the point of hospitalisation, Chris smashed through these obstacles like a true warrior.

These last 3 years have been one wild ride for the show, and after going through many shifts and changes, it has finally reached its 100th episode! A lot has happened, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing left of what's to come. Once we are aware of how we see things, we can tweak our viewpoint in order to make it work to our advantage.

For this episode, I invited former Disney Executive Terrance X Johnson to share a very important message about growth. We'll also be discussing different growth-hindering struggles that emerged in our entrepreneurial journeys, and the values and mindsets we learned to overcome them with. Terrance explains that we are able to overcome fear if we learn to embrace reality and live in the now. If we learn to focus more on what's going on rather than what MIGHT or might never even) happen, we can avoid feeling the adverse consequences of an outcome that's real only in our heads.
